FreshWater Technologies has non-exclusive distribution rights to an activated water system from FW International Inc. for South and Central America and the Caribbean markets including Panama, Costa Rica, Ecuador and Peru. FW water activation technology is a unique, proven water activation technology developed and patented in Japan.

Using the flow of water in industrial and commercial heating and cooling systems, the ceramic balls contained inside the FW device rotate and rub against each other creating friction which generates several forms of electrical energy without the use of any chemicals. The result: The physical properties of the water are significantly changed .FW technology can effectively deal with the buildup of scale, rust and corrosion in both heating and cooling installation. This encrustation, caused by the presence of calcium or other salts and minerals in the water, increases energy costs. Scale in industrial systems has a negative effect on the heat exchange coefficient and on the head loss and flow rate in hydraulic systems. Energy consumption increases as more energy is needed to achieve the same end results. For example, 1 mm of scale causes an 8% increase in total energy use.

By using FW systems, customers can eliminate the use and expense of chemical cleaning methods which discharge chemicals into the environment and increase maintenance costs as well as reduce the life of equipment and materials. The effect of water activation gradually eliminates the calcium carbonate deposits and prevents the formation of any new deposits. Existing deposits are not dissolved by chemical means but are simply filtered out as tiny particles.
